Frequently Asked Questions
What is your refund and return policy?
Each Produce Aisle print is made to order, so we don’t accept returns or exchanges if you simply change your mind. We do want you to be happy with your order, so we will gladly refund you if:
• your print arrives damaged
• you receive the incorrect item
To request a refund, email us at zoe@produce-aisle.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will reply within 3-5 business days, and once approved, your refund goes back to your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
When can I expect my order? Tell me about shipping speeds!
Orders typically arrive within 1 to 2 weeks of purchase. You’ll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships. If your order hasn’t arrived within 2 weeks, contact us at zoe@produce-aisle.com and we’ll look into it.
A note about framed orders, fulfilled by Framebridge:
Framebridge houses our collection at their Berkeley storefront. If you order a framed print, the artwork is sent from that storefront to their framing facility, where it's carefully framed, packaged, and shipped to you. This whole process has been taking up to a month for our customers. If you need your print sooner, but want a way to hang it, email us. We can recommend a few very simple solutions. We want your art to look beautiful!
Tell me about your pricing! These prints seem like an investment!
These prints are fine art with wide reach, and we want to be transparent about all that goes into each print. We're committed to not cutting any corners in the process -- to make work entirely by hand, to edit it by hand, and to employ real, hard-working humans along the way to scan and print our work. Here's what happens: we hand-draw our artwork on 9"x12" paper, and each piece has involved around 50 hours of drawing. Typically, both of us (Zoé and Margaret) take turns with each image, so two brains and two sets of hands have worked on your art. We love the (very uncommon!) creative process required to find a collaborative style, to help each other bring a drawing to life, and to push each other to try new things. We then professionally scan each drawing and Margaret digitally removes any dust and scratches. Our pieces are Giclée printed on-demand on archival cold rag paper, so they won't fade over time. Giclée printing uses 12 inks rather than the usual 4, making each piece incredibly true to life, crisp, and vibrant.
